After years of development and countless circuit refinements, the Thornicus Fuzz has emerged as a powerful dual-channel fuzz featuring independent Fuzz and Octave Fuzz sides, each with its own dedicated controls for complete tonal flexibility.
Originally conceived as a single fuzz circuit with a shared octave switch, the design evolved at lan Thornley's request for greater control and versatility. The result is a meticulously engineered pedal that lets players shape each channel independently-dialing in everything from vintage-style saturation to harmonically rich octave tones-without compromise.
"Since very early on in my electric guitar journey, l've loved Fuzz. We've been through many different Fuzzes through the years and really grew partial to several. Some of our favourite Fuzz pedals simply couldn't withstand the rigours of constant touring. When the folks at Suhr released the Rufus and the Rufus Reloaded pedals, those pretty much replaced the other fuzzes in my live rig because of their great sound and reliability. The Suhr Thornicus Fuzz has been in development for several years now and perfectly captures the DNA of all the fuzzes l've loved over the years, but is infinitely more flexible and versatile. Classic Fuzz: Thick, saturated sustain with a warm, velvety breakup that turns every note into a rich wall of harmonic texture.
Octave Fuzz: Octave circuit, which stacks a octave fuzz in front of the main fuzz for added harmonic complexity.
Independent Control: Classic passive tone control. Clockwise brightens and tightens; counter-clockwise warms and thickens.
Mids Control: provides a mid-scooped, grungier tone; clockwise restores midrange presence for a fuller, more articulate sound.
MIDI Compatibility: allowing you to store and recall bypass states.
