A bass in the tradition of vintage outlines
The Eko JB300 is part of the legacy of "jazz" bass that appeared in the 1950s, whose offset silhouette has crossed generations. Eko takes up this timeless recipe by adding modern ergonomics (low weight, welcoming curves) and a simple and reliable configuration, designed to offer an excellent comfort-versatility ratio to bassists who start.
For whom, and for which styles?
The JB300 is aimed primarily at beginner bassists (and those who want an accessible bass to repeat, record at home or start a first group). Thanks to its two simple J-type and its intuitive settings, it is at ease in rock, pop, funk, blues and jazz, keeping a real margin of progression as your ear becomes more refined.
The tone
Its poplar body contributes to a balanced response and an easy grip, while the maple handle provides attack and definition. The laurel fingerboard rounds everything with a touch of warmth, ideal for keeping a musical sound in clear sounds.
On the electronic side, the 2 simple J-type microphones offer the famous blend of clarity and mediums: a neck pickup for a round bass, a bridge pickup for more precision and bite, or both together for a versatile and lively sound. The 2 volumes allow you to dose each microphone, and the tone adjusts the overall brightness, from the funk slap to the more subdued grain. The 4-saddle Eko bridge helps to adjust action and pitch rope by rope, with a solid sustain for this category.
