In collaboration with Gibson™ Custom, Epiphone is proud to launch the 1959 ES-355, a stunning reproduction of the leading ES™ model from the legendary class of 1959. It is the very best ES model in all its glory, from its dimensions to its contours to its precise inlay patterns and sound experience. The 1959 ES-355 has a 5-ply laminated maple/poplar body with a maple solid centre block for support and feedback resistance, a one-piece mahogany neck with a 1950s round centre C profile and an ebony fingerboard adorned with a block of mother-of-pearl inlay. The Gibson-style ‘open book’ headstock has the split diamond and Epiphone logo inlays in mother of pearl, along with gold Grover® Rotomatic® tuners and the Inspired by Gibson logo with double diamond etched on the back. The 1959 ES-355 is powered by a pair of Gibson Custombuckers hand-connected to CTS® potentiometers, Mallory™ capacitors and a Switchcraft® element switch and jack output. A brown and pink hard case with the Inspired by Gibson Custom logo is also included.
