FENDER John 5 Phantom Telecaster Black

Product details

From his early days as a highly sought-after studio musician to his legendary collaborations with David Lee Roth, Mötley Crüe, and Rob Zombie, John 5 has spent nearly three decades cementing his place as one of the most in-demand guitarists in the world. A lifelong Telecaster fan, he envisioned a model that brings together everything he loves about the instrument while taking it into new territory. The result? A hell-raising machine, outrageously modernized for a new generation of hard rockers.

The Telecaster® Phantom makes a statement in both style and sound. Visually, its black finish and matching headstock give it a striking appearance. Sonically, its high-output DiMarzio® D Activator™ pickups in the neck and bridge positions deliver the fierce tones John 5 is known for, with tight low end and a cutting sparkle capable of slicing through any mix. On top of that, its Floyd Rose® FRTS2000 Special Series tremolo opens the door to the most extreme pitch manipulation and spectacular dive bombs, without the tuning shifting even a fraction. Finally, the controls are stripped down to a single volume knob and a killswitch, keeping the focus where it belongs: on the music and the moment.
