Synonymous with V-style electric guitars, Mustaine teamed up with Gibson in 2021 — the original designers of this iconic shape — to release a signature instrument that delivers the powerful, heavy sound and exceptional playing performance that he demands. And now, they've unveiled two limited edition, Custom Shop Flying V Dave Mustaine Flying V EXP Artist models! Only 75 of each colour (Black VOS and Red Amber Burst) will be crafted by the expert luthiers of the Gibson Custom Shop as part of this very special limited run.

First-Class Features

The Gibson Custom Shop Dave Mustaine Flying V EXP boasts a 25.5" scale Mahogany neck equipped with a bound 24-fret Ebony fretboard, Mother of Pearl inlays, an Explorer-style headstock, Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners, and a Graph Tech TUSQ nut. Dave Mustaine's signature is reproduced on the truss rod cover, and Dave's silhouette is featured on the back of the headstock. The Mahogany body has a Maple cap and is fitted with a Tune-O-Matic bridge, a string-through-body Chevron tailpiece, and a Dave Mustaine signature Seymour Duncan Thrash Factor pickup set. A custom hardshell case is also included.
