Active Column PA System
The new POLAR MK2 column:
It consists of two elements that fit together smoothly and securely thanks to the brand new connection system.
The upper element is dedicated to sound diffusion, via six 3" neodymium speakers reproducing the midrange.
Integrated into a low-resonance, streamlined aluminium enclosure, they guarantee accurate reproduction of instruments and vocals.
The combination with a 1" transducer coupled with a constant directivity horn provides 120° dispersion for optimal sound coverage of the audience.
The lower element serves only as a riser and can be removed for applications where sound needs to be projected towards a seated audience, for example.
The column elements are delivered in a padded carrying bag for easy transport and added protection.
The new POLAR MK2 subwoofer:
When it comes to producing deep bass, nothing can replace the physical volume of a dedicated subwoofer. To achieve this, HK uses applied physics rather than extreme pre-filtering.
The new wooden subwoofer, with its large volume and durability, effectively eliminates resonance. Meanwhile, the built-in speaker with high projection ensures clear and ‘dry’ bass.
The recessed handles, cleverly positioned on the top and bottom, make handling and transport easy.
A padded protective cover is included, and a wheeled board is also available as an option.
The mixing desk
It has 4 channels: two for microphones and line signals (e.g. mixing desk, keyboard), one high-impedance instrument channel and one AUX channel for DJ equipment, portable music players or streaming audio via the built-in Bluetooth.
The microphone inputs have switchable phantom power, allowing the connection of condenser microphones.
A USB-C charging port is also built in to power a smartphone, tablet or battery-powered wireless microphone receiver without the need for an additional charger.
Thanks to TWS (True Wireless Stereo) Bluetooth technology, two POLAR MK2 systems can be connected wirelessly to stream stereo audio from a smartphone, tablet or other streaming device.
