On the Pioneer DJ DDJ-REV1, for the first time on a Pioneer DJ controller, the pitch faders have been positioned at the top of the deck sections and rotated horizontally to simulate a battle turntable setup. The performance pads have been placed in the mixer section along with the FX paddles, as found on DJM-S series mixers. This allows users to change the sound to their liking during performance. The spacious layout provides ample room to try out a wide variety of mixing techniques. Scratching is easier to implement with the jog wheels, which are significantly larger than previous controllers in the entry-level segment, and also convey a much better feel!
