Ebonite, an optimal material for mouthpiece manufacturing.
Made from a mixture of natural rubber, sulphur and linseed oil, ebonite is shaped through a dozen steps to finally produce sublime mouthpieces, more than 90% of whose outer surface is polished. Only the table remains unpolished to avoid any inaccuracy that might result from excessive polishing.
