KALA Gardenia Mahogany Soprano

Productdetails

This design is inspired by the endemic and endangered plant of Hawaii, commonly known as Na'u in Hawaiian with only ten wild gardenia brighamii. The species can be found on Maui, Moloka'i, Lana'i, Hawaii and O'ahu. This flower has a rich history, with its flowers traditionally used for making flower leis, its stems used to create Kapa fabric, and its fruits used as natural dyes. This remarkable flower not only provides valuable resources and ornaments, but has also survived over the decades. Despite its endangered status, dedicated conservation efforts have been made to revive resilient species.
